Our Vision for Reconciliation

Statement of Acknowledgement

We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of this Country, the Wadawurrung people, and their connection to land, sea, and community. Wadawurrung people care for their land, water, and intangible heritage of their land.

We pay our respects to the past, present, and emerging elders. We extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today. We acknowledge our connection with the ancient history of Australia through the land from which our early learning environments have been created.

Montessori Minds is committed to building partnerships based on trust, respect, and recognition of the rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and aspires to contribute to Australia’s reconciliation journey positively.

Vision for Reconciliation

Our Vision for Reconciliation

Our vision for reconciliation is to foster respect, understanding and inclusion of
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ cultures, histories and contributions.

As an early learning centre, we are committed to building cultural responsiveness, respectful relationships with local communities, and teaching the importance of reconciliation, equality, equity and self-determination.

Through an inclusive curriculum and a long-term Reconciliation Action Plan, we ensure reconciliation is a continuous process embedded in our daily practices, helping children, educators and families develop unity, respect and cultural awareness.
