Every year, our Annual Graduation Ceremony and Concert gives our Montessori Minds community a chance to come together and celebrate the children’s year of learning, friendship, and growth. Our 2024 concert was no exception, and we’re grateful to every family who joined us to make it such a special occasion.
We recently shared some of the moments from the day, including a short video of parents reflecting on their experience. We wanted to bring that together here with some of the lovely written feedback families left us afterwards, as a thank you to everyone who took part.
Hearing From Our Families
Watching the children take part in the concert is always a highlight for our educators, but it means even more when families tell us what the day meant to them. In our short video, Parent Testimonials | Annual Graduation Ceremony and Concert 2024, parents share their own reflections on the ceremony in their own words.
Alongside the video, many families left us handwritten notes on the day. A few of the sentiments that stayed with our team include:
“Wonderful performance! Thank you!”
“Amazing work team U & thank you ♥♥”
“Incredible experience” — with thanks to our educators
Several notes also mentioned how nice it was to see the whole class involved, and how smoothly the day came together. Comments like these mean a great deal to our educators and staff, many of whom put in considerable care and preparation behind the scenes to help make the event enjoyable for children and families alike.
Of course, every family and every child experiences a day like this a little differently, and we’re mindful that a concert is just one moment in a much longer learning journey. What we hear most consistently, though, is that families appreciated seeing their child included, supported, and having fun alongside their peers.
Why Events Like This Matter
Occasions such as our Annual Concert give children a chance to build confidence, practise self-expression, and enjoy a sense of belonging with their friends and educators — all of which reflect the broader goals of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF v2.0), particularly around identity, community, and communication. Every child engages with performance and group activities in their own way and at their own pace, and our educators work to make sure all children can participate in a manner that feels comfortable and inclusive for them.
Events like this also give families a window into the relationships and programs happening at our centre day to day — one of the reasons we value the partnerships we build with families as part of our commitment to quality care under the National Quality Standard.
Thank You to Our Community
To every family who attended, sent a note, or shared a smile with our team on the day — thank you. Celebrations like this are only possible because of the community around them, and we’re proud of the warmth and involvement our families continue to bring to Montessori Minds.
If you’d like to see more photos from the day, keep an eye on our gallery, and follow along for updates on upcoming events throughout the year.
