At Hoppers Crossing Montessori Minds, the relationships we build with families are at the heart of everything we do. Over the past year, so many of you have taken the time to share kind words, thoughtful feedback and honest reflections about your family’s experience with us — whether in a quick conversation at pick-up, a note to your educator, or a message to our team. We wanted to take a moment to say thank you.
Feedback like this means more to us than a compliment on a job well done. It’s a reminder that the partnership between educators and families — one of the seven quality areas we’re assessed against under the National Quality Standard — is working the way it’s meant to. Every family’s circumstances are different, and every child settles, grows and learns at their own pace, so when a parent tells us something is going well for their family, we know that’s specific to their own experience. But hearing it still matters, because it tells us where we’re getting things right and where we can keep improving.
Why your feedback shapes what we do
Family feedback doesn’t just sit in an inbox. Where relevant, it’s considered alongside our educators’ own observations as part of our ongoing Quality Improvement Plan, which guides how we review and refine our program over time. A comment about communication at drop-off, a suggestion about our outdoor space, or a note about how a child settled into a new room — these are the kinds of everyday insights that help us stay accountable to the families we work with, not just to a set of regulations.
An open door, always
If you haven’t had the chance to share your thoughts with us yet, we’d genuinely like to hear from you — the good, the constructive, and everything in between. You’re welcome to speak with your child’s educators directly, get in touch with our Nominated Supervisor, or reach out by phone or email at any time. We also periodically invite families to complete a short feedback survey, and with your consent, some of what you share may be featured on our website to help other families get a sense of what life at our centre is like.
Looking ahead together
We know that choosing — and then trusting — an early learning environment for your child is a significant decision, and we don’t take that trust lightly. To every family who has offered encouragement, asked a thoughtful question, or simply let us know how their child is going, thank you. We look forward to continuing this journey together, and to celebrating the everyday moments — big and small — that make up each child’s time with us.
